A Brief Guide to Rubber Mould

Did you ever heard of rubber mould? As the name suggest, it’s made of rubber. As per diverse mould configurations and manufacturing methods, rubber mould could be detached into the following 4 kinds, namely die-casting, pressing die, injection mold & extrusion mould. Furthermore, besides the above declared 4 types, there’re also some special moulds, for example, rubber dip mould, inflatable mould and so on. To assist the readers get acquainted with rubber moulds, this article will give you more in-depth details.

What comes 1st is pressing die. Quite often it’s also known as the general die. The major substance for this mould is the semi finished rubber. And this semi-finished rubber is processed through blending. The so-called blending procedure is a sort of rubber making method. This process assists the rubber and all sorts of accessory constituents blend together and therefore enhance the rubber’s plastic property & flow property. Following the semi finished rubber is placed into the die, the die will be forced and heated up in the plate vulcanizing machinery. Then through the pressurization & heating the pressing die is molded. Since this die is classified by the plain structure, convenient operation `& wide applications, it accounts for an important proportion in the field of rubber molded parts.

The next kind is die-casting mold. It is also called transfer-type mold. You can find such type of mould in rubber watch strap. The main material is the semi-finished rubber or the slab rubber. People put the material into the cavity of the die-casting mold. Then the pressure of the die-casting plug squeezes the sizing material. Then sizing material enters into the molded foam by means of the pouring system. At last, the die-casting mold is molded. As for this mould, there are some unique features. It is more complex than the common die. And its consistence is quite excellent. Generally speaking, this mould is very applicable for the complex rubber products.

The 3rd type is injection mold. It is also a type of Rubber mould. This mould is made of the sizing material in the plastic state. By means of the pouring systems of the injection mold the sizing material is vulcanized. Then this mould is molded. The mould has a very complex structure. Therefore, it is widely used to produce the large-sized, complex-shaped and thick-wall products. In addition, its production efficiency is very high and the quality is also stable. At the same time, it can realize the automatic production.

Last but not least, the extrusion die is also a typical rubber mould. The main material is also the semi-finished rubber. Compared with other rubber moulds, the manufacturing process of this die is more complex.
